Brad graduated from California State University of Chico with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in May 1982, with a concentration in accounting. He became a CPA in January of 1989.

During the past 30 years, Brad worked nine years in Public Accounting practices, six years in the private sector, and the remaining years as a self employed sole practioner.

While in Public Accounting, his duties included:

Compiling financial statements, preparing employment tax returns, sales & use tax returns, and business property tax statements.

Performing financial statement audits, reviews, & tax accounting and return preparation for corporations, partnerships & sole proprietors as well as tax projections.

Training and supervising subordinates, designing & presenting in-house seminars.

While working in the private sector, primarily as a Controller, he was responsible for:

Cash flow statements, projections, and budgets.

Preparation of employment, sales & use tax reports.

Preparation of internal financial statements.

Oversight of sales/use tax & property tax audits.

Cash management, personnel management, and year end financial statements & analysis.

Corporate & shareholder income tax requirements

Negotiating contracts with insurance, banking, payroll & other outside services

401(K) pension plan compliance & cost

As a sole practioner, Brad has focused primarily on income tax preparation, consulting on business and tax related matters, and obtaining mortgage loans, refinances, and reverse mortgages for his clients.
